Control Pisco is an exceptional Chilean Pisco: it’s aged in oak, and has an ABV of 40%.

The first documented mention of Pisco was in 1613, and both Chile and Peru insist they invented the aromatic grape brandy. It’s the national drink in both Countries.

Chilean Pisco differs in production from Peruvian pisco in a few key ways. Chilean pisco is produced from different grapes, Muscat de Alexandria and Muscat Rosada Pastilla, which create a more aromatic brandy. Plus, Peruvian Pisco is not usually aged; whereas the Chilean Control Pisco is aged for up to 2 years in American oak barrels.

The Pisco Sour is a celebrated cocktail made from Pisco, lemon juice and sugar. It’s origin is also hotly contested by the two countries.
